Welcome

The University of New Orleans Metropolitan College would like to welcome you back to the New Orleans area. We have several programs geared towards assisting the adult learner.

For adult students who are interested in working towards a degree at UNO, we offer short informational sessions throughout the year. Adults Considering College Seminars answer important questions for students entering college for the first time or students returning after a long absence. Our Academic Preparation refresher skills non-credit courses help reinforce basic skills prior to taking college classes.

We also advise Golden Ager Students, who are those students over the age of 65 taking courses at UNO, and Special Students who are non-degree seeking students.

Finally, several of our non-credit classes assist individuals in determining their interests and developing their career goals. These Career Planning and Assessment courses are offered for high school students and adults. Other non-credit courses are geared towards adult Personal Enrichment.
